Growing up in the “big pink house on the corner,” Karen developed a design sensibility and awareness of architecture from an early age, inspiring her lifelong fascination with the built environment.
As a student at the University of Cincinnati, she discovered heartfelt desire to learn and to grow, to constantly improve her art and craft, a meaningful journey that earned her a Master of Architecture degree along with numerous awards and recognition.
Karen’s portfolio reflects a keen understanding of client needs and vision, the human experience, and the importance of context and place. She believes that every building, every structure, every house has a unique personality that can be cultivated. The house with unique character, experiential qualities, and meaningful moments becomes a special home.
Outside the office, Karen enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, contemporary art, and the occasional hang out, heels up by the river.
