LAURA RICKAWAY

LAURA RICKAWAY

Director of Interior Design

Laura Rickaway is a native Houstonian with a strong sense of how to not only make a home beautiful but also functional. As an award-winning residential interior designer, she has worked for clients across the country and has been featured in many lifestyle publications. In each project, Laura takes care to make sure the client’s lifestyles and tastes are incorporated into every facet of the home. Her vibrant style combines functionality, with timeless elegance and pops of color.

Laura is the Director of Interior Design at Brickmoon Design, where she works closely with architects throughout the building process to create curated interiors that are both purposeful and sophisticated. Laura began her design career with a prominent interior designer in Auburn, Alabama, working with custom home builders and furnishing luxury homes both in Auburn and on the nearby Lake Martin. After graduation, she moved home to Texas to work for highly-acclaimed interior design firms in both Houston and Fort Worth, designing high-end residential interiors.

Laura earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Auburn University and is a registered interior designer in Texas. While in college, she studied abroad in Ariccia, Italy (outside of Rome) and immersed herself in studying Italian culture, art, and architecture.  She credits her time in Italy with greatly shaping her perspective on architecture and design.

Away from the office, Laura enjoys exploring Houston’s vibrant cuisine, volunteering with The Junior League and spending weekends at Lake Travis with her family and beloved dogs, Buckley and Max.
